On my way to the land of elephant

Arrived Friday evening, just in time to collect my plane ticket to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Flight Singapore Airlines at 22H40 for 4 hours 30 mn, arriving local time at 00H35 - in fact for me 02H35. Time to get out from the airport and taxi to the hotel i go to sleep 90 mn later...Calculate local time-Singapore time I feel very sleepy!!...but is is Sunday.
Not much time to sleep because my friend Susantha pick me up at 06H00 to go and play golf in Kandy (3 hours driving from Colombo)
Beautiful , awsome site up in the mountains...very well maintained (with caddy and "ball boys, who look after your ball if bay any chance it goes out of the fairway, cool hein!!)
I recommend this course for those who really love golf in Sri Lanka

Then return to Colombo where busses have to stop to let the elephants do their job!
Flight back to Singapore with one of the most exhausting flight : depart Colombo 01H35, arriving 05H25 in Singapore (local time 07H25)...not much time to sleep!
I will return again to Colombo next week...

Going to Formosa

Just in time at the airport and an EVA Air (Taiwan national company) to fly to Taipei. Short flight 90 mn...Taipei is about 1 hour drive from the airport.
Everything you want to know about Taiwan.
Do you know that the tallest building in the world is in the city of Taipei with the tower called Taipei 101.
Go for it, quite impressive. Next time i will try to go in the top floor!!
A few days later back home to Singapore, 4 hours 30 mn flight...full as usual !!

Hong Kong Airport

No, we do not land anymore at Kai Tak Airport, between the buildings in the middle of the city...where I remember in the mid 90's we could see someone shaving in his bathrom...

Now there is a brand new airport Chep Lai Kok (open in 1998) at about 45 kms 0n Lantau island....more a luxurious shopping gallery!

The airport is connected with the centre of Hong Kong by a fast train.

On my way to Macau...Gambleland

Macau is just one hour away from Hong Kong and the best way (the only way!) to go there is by ferry...There 19 casinos now and after my meeting I managed to visit Sands - open 24X24 - and I took some pictures with my phone (strictly forbidden!!)...This is what we see, but there are also private rooms where the amount of the gamble is huge!.
Who is attending: 98% chineese (about 80% daily from China mainland)

Again on the move and this time it is HONG KONG...and everytime I go there, especially at night it is always an enlightment.
Kowloon, Hong Kong Island....
So have a look to Hong Kong at night and also to these fantastic views of the most impressive skyscrapers in the world.

Calling on the Force

A war of communications began on Tuesday 14th of June in Singapore at CommunicAsia 2005.2.235 companies from 55 countries were displaying the latest in IT...(and some nice girls also) and communications at the four day event. They are expected t draw 59,000 international visitors. I post some idea of the ambiance!!
